This orientation module is made up of nine units including this one. Each unit will highlight a specific learning outcome, reflective of the general goals stated in each module's introduction. Each topic will have its own goals and objectives, a unique collection of learning activities followed by a summary.
The units stand alone, though they are presented in an easily understood progression. If an assignment requires knowledge that you have not yet acquired, you are free to skip ahead to the unit that will help you with the specific assignment. Also, any one of these units can be reviewed time and again until you feel you have a firm foundation of the concept.
If you have difficulty with any of the concepts or the activities, we encourage you to stop by the Reference Desk on the 2d floor of the Campbell Library, or visit our Frequently Asked Questions link on the Reference Help Page to see if someone else has already raised your question. If not, email your question to the Reference desk. We are here to help you. We cannot do this if you don’t ask for the help! Don’t be shy.
