Remembering Margaret Murtha

The faculty and staff of Rowan University Libraries mourn the loss of our colleague, Margaret “Peggy” Murtha.  

Peggy was a beloved friend to all who had the pleasure of working with her.  In the course of her 31-year library career, she worked in both the Periodicals and Government Documents departments. Her expertise in accessing resources and locating Government documents, coupled with her warm personality, allowed her to provide exceptional service to countless students, faculty, and staff.  Her willingness to “go the extra mile” to help others will never be forgotten.

She will always be thought of fondly; and terribly missed.

Peggy is survived by her three sons, Thomas, Joseph, and Christopher; her three daughters-in-law; and her six grandchildren.  Condolences may be shared with the family at
