Classroom and meeting room policies
Classroom and meeting room reservations are scheduled through Rowan University’s Conference and Event Planning office, and are sometimes reserved by several different classes and organizations throughout the day. If you are reserving one of these rooms, please remember to be respectful and leave the room as you found it. Furniture, sign, and food policies are in place to keep these rooms clean and organized for reuse.
Furniture
The Dean of Library Services must approve the rearrangement of any furniture within Campbell Library’s rooms, and a Facilities work order must be processed at least two weeks in advance. It is the responsibility of the reserving faculty or staff member to restore the room to its original layout. Noise prevention is extremely important in order to provide the best service to our students. It is imperative that doors of the meeting rooms be kept closed at all times. If patrons leave the assigned room, conversations should be kept to a minimum. Amplified sound devices are not permitted in the library. Please see our patron conduct policy for restrictions on cell phone use.
Signs
Materials may be posted on the first-floor bulletin board by the stairs. Signs may not be taped or tacked to the doors or walls of reserved rooms, or to the main entrance of the library. Please e-mail John Mullens at mullens@rowan.edu if you would like signs or directions posted.
Catering and Food Service
Only Sodexo Food Service may be used for meetings and formal events. Please refer to our patron conduct policy to find out where small, individual food items may or may not be consumed in Campbell Library.
If any problems or questions arise, please contact the Circulation Desk: (856) 256-4802.
