Explore RILM Abstracts: The World's Most Comprehensive Music Bibliography

Until the end of the semester, Library Services has contracted to provide access to RLIM Abstracts of Music Literature and RLIM Retrospective Abstracts of Music Literature on a trial basis. These two online databases, publications of Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale, represent the world’s most comprehensive music bibliography.  Together, they contain over 750,000 bibliographic records representing scholarly publications in all aspects of music research. Document types include books, articles, conference proceedings, dissertations, reviews, commentaries, online databases, research-based recordings, and technical drawings of musical instruments.  Article citations include comprehensive coverage of music journals and selective coverage of non-music journals.
Coverage spans from 1967 to the present, with monthly updates added over 30,000 new entries each year.  Content is international representing publications from 151 countries.  English title translations are provided for foreign titles, as are abstracts in English.

Supplementing this vital resource, the library is also offering a trial subscription to RIPM: Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals RIPM indexes 135 music journals covering the years 1800-1950.
