Rowan University Libraries e-resources will require authentication from both on and off campus beginning this fall. Individual e-resources will be updated to require on-campus authentication throughout the fall semester.
Prior to this time access to e-resources on-campus was controlled through IP authentication and anyone connected to the Rowan network was able to access e-resources without having to log-in. Due to network changes made by Rowan IRT the libraries can no longer use on campus IP authentication to verify Rowan affiliation and stay in compliance with licensing agreements.
Access to e-journals, e-books, databases, publisher websites, and other e-resources will be impacted by this change.
To access e-resources from on and off campus, Rowan users must start at the RowanSOM Library website.
On campus users may experience problems with:
- Saved links
- Previously bookmarked e-resources
- Links to resources through citation managers (Endnote, Refworks, Zotero, Academic Writer, Papers, Mendeley, etc.)
