Changes to JAOA website causing links to articles to break

April 16, 2021

At the start of 2021 the JAOA - Journal of the American Osteopathic Association transitioned to an open access model which meant all current and old content became publically available.  For more information about this switch please see the YouTube video from the Editor-in-chief of the JAOA.

In the process of swtiching to open access the JAOA is moving its content to a new website and the library has recently learned that links to some JAOA articles through PubMed and other databases are no longer working.  Embedded links to JAOA articles that faculty may have in courseware or webpages also may no longer work.

All old and new articles in JAOA are accessible, but until the direct linkage problem can be addressed user may need to navigate through the Journal of the American Osteopathic Assocation website to view article(s), and not rely on links to JAOA articles in PubMed and other databases.

If you have any questions or encounter any problems getting to articles in the JAOA please contact the library using AskALibrarian
