The Music Library is MOVING!

March 6, 2015

This summer, Campbell Library will be creating an exciting new space dedicated to Music, Theater, and Dance studies. The new Performing Arts Collection will provide access to materials currently housed in the Wilson Music Library, as well as specialized collections in Theater and Dance. This new service point will be created on the second floor of Campbell Library in and around what was formerly known as the Government Documents Room.

Some of our Government Documents holdings will move to the first floor of Campbell Library, while others will be integrated with the circulating collection for all Rowan patrons to enjoy and check out.

Continuing a 50+ year commitment as a Federal Depository Library, we intend to make our collection even more accessible to the public, shifting to electronic delivery of most documents and allowing the Rowan community access from the comfort of their own homes. And, as always, our subject specialists are available to help History, Political Science, and general researchers with any questions about Government Documents.

In the reimagined second floor space, our Music, Theater and Dance communities can look forward to:

  • Access to the Digital Learning Center and A/V software and equipment for track editing and choreography
  • Specialized Circulation and Reference Services, provided by the same Music Library staff, plus many more friendly faces!
  • Extended hours of operation, allowing late-night and weekend access to materials and spaces
