Hope Brings Strength Health Sciences LIbrary Dedication Monday, February 12

February 9, 2024

On Monday, February 12 the Rowan-Virtua SOM Health Sciences Library officially changes its name to the Hope Brings Strength Health Sciences Library.  This change is to honor the generous donation from the Baldwin and Ferro families in memory of their son, Bobby Ferro.

The Ferro family developed the motto “Hope Brings Strength” in memory of Bobby based on the realization that was only when healthcare providers combined as honest approach with a sense of hope that they had the strength to move forward.

Thanks to the donation renovations to the Hope Brings Strength Health Sciences Library were completed in January 2024.  An unveiling ceremony and reception will be held in the Academic Center atrium on the afternoon of Monday, February 12.

While the library will not be closed during the ceremony there will be a period of about 20 minutes beginning approximately at 2pm when we ask that no one enter or leave the library so the unveiling can take place at the entrance to the library.  Additionally, the family and senior Rowan University leadership will be on campus Monday and tours of the library may take place throughout the afternoon causing some minor disruption.  Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine thanks you for your cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
