Resource Sharing

The purpose of the Resource Sharing service is to obtain, whenever possible, materials not available in the Rowan Libraries for the educational and research needs of the university community. This may include, but is not limited to, books, journal articles, documents, and audiovisual materials. The Resource Sharing department obtains materials from other libraries, both in this country and throughout the world. Materials that can be borrowed include books, audiovisual material and conference papers. Journal articles are obtained for patrons via Ariel, Odyssey, and the World Wide Web or by paper copy. The library interlibrary loan staff makes every effort to fill all requests expediently.

Eligibility

All current Rowan University community members may use this service.  Alumni must use the Resource Sharing service at their home library.

There is no limit, except in times of high demand when a temporary limit may be instituted; however, the staff asks that there be no more than ten (10) requests placed in process at one time.
