University Archives and Special Collections (UASC) welcomes researchers, genealogists, historians, authors and Rowan University faculty and students. UASC holds many materials detailing the rich history of Rowan University, including photographs and administrative records from the institution's early Normal School years in the 1920s.

University Archives & Special Collections Policies
Due to the unique and sometimes fragile nature of archives, special care is taken when handling and using the collections. For the protection of these items, we must enforce the following set of standards for all visitors:
- Materials do not circulate and cannot leave the Reading Room.
- No food or drinks allowed.
- Please wash your hands before handling archival documents or objects. Hand sanitizing is not sufficient.
- Gloves (provided) may be required at the discretion of the Archivist when handling photographs, negatives, or other items/objects that can be damaged by the oils on your hands.
- Bags, backpacks, and purses must be left in the designated locker area.
- Pencils are the only writing tools permitted.
- Paper or notebooks for note-taking are allowed.
- Laptops are permitted and a wifi connection is available.
- Digital cameras or smartphones may be used to take images of materials in lieu of photocopies or scans, but permission is required from the Archivist; please do not use a flash.
- Copies or scans of documents may be made by the Archivist upon request, but may take up to five (5) days to deliver.
- Masks are available on request.
