Access a Reading List
If your instructor is using Course Reserves Plus, you’ll access readings directly through your Canvas course.
Physical reserve items can also be found in Library Search and picked up at the library.
To find course reserves in Library Search, search for your instructors name or class title.
- Course Reserves are physical items placed aside for shared class readings at the library, upon a faculty member’s request.
- Course Reserves Plus expands on this service. In addition to physical items at the library, faculty can now also add electronic resources (ebooks, chapters, articles, websites, streaming video, and their own documents) to their Canvas site — giving students easy access to all course readings in one place.
-
You can place physical books on reserve at the library.
- Please complete the Course Reserves Plus process before dropping off any material at the library for reserve.
- You can share electronic resource permalinks in Canvas.
- You can request that the library scan physical library materials (up to 10% of a book) to add to your reading list.
-
You can request the library to purchase books and ebooks for your class.
- Please submit purchase requests at least 1 month in advance.
- You can roll your reading list over from semester-to-semester.
- You can view insights on how your students use course readings.
