The Hope Brings Strength Health Sciences Library is located on the ground floor of the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine's Academic Center building.
The main section of the HBS Library is accessible 24/7 to current faculty, staff, and students enrolled in Virtua Health College programs based on the Stratford or Sewell campus, including:
Staffed Library Hours During the Academic Year (subject to change for holidays and semester breaks)
Outside of staffed hours, entry is permitted only via authorized Rowan ID card swipe. Students are expected to follow the Student Expectations Policy at all times, whether during staffed or unstaffed hours.
ID cards must be visible or readily available upon request by Rowan Police, HBS Library staff, or a Rowan-Virtua SOM administrator.
Space is limited at the HBS Library and building access is restricted on the Stratford campus. Rowan students from the Glassboro campus and Veterinary school are not permitted to use the HBS Library.
Guests of Rowan-Virtua SOM students and Virtua Health College students in programs based on the Stratford or Sewell campus may use the HBS Library only during staffed hours. Guests must:
Guests may not use library computers or laptops and do not have access to Rowan University Libraries’ online resources.
CMSRU students may use the HBS Library during weekday staffed hours through a reciprocal agreement. CMSRU students must contact Rowan Police to arrange access to the Academic Center.
Volunteer faculty and residents with affiliated healthcare institutions may use the HBS Library during staffed weekday hours. Rowan-Virtua SOM affiliates must contact Rowan Police to arrange access to the Academic Center.
The Sewell Learning Commons is located on the 2nd floor of the Rowan Medicine, Sewell building. All Rowan-Virtua SOM students and Physician Assistant students and faculty, and staff with authorized access may enter the 2nd floor and Learning Commons 24/7 using their Rowan ID.
Building access is restricted to Rowan-Virtua SOM students and staff and Virtua Health College Stratford and Sewell campus students, faculty, and staff only. The Hope Brings Strength Library is not open to the public, nor to students from other institutions seeking a study space.
